Site Reliability Engineer

Minimum requirements:  

• 3 years of experience as a SRE, DevOps, System Administrator, or similar role. 
• Experience with databases, proxies, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management. 
• Configuration management tools. 
• Log management and visualization (ELK stack). 
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, etc). 
• Knowledge of IT operating systems; Linux and Windows 
• Experience with cloud environments and technologies (e.g. AWS) 

Nice to have: 

• Ability to create scripts and integrate them with automated solutions such as Ansible and Docker. 
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery 

This role can be performed as an employee, based in Malta, offering you the option to work from the office/hybrid/remotely. 

 
This role has an on-call rotation schedule. 
 

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you`ll be part of the IT and Security Department which is responsible for the 24/7 technology operations of Videoslots. Their main goal is to ensure that internal and external facing systems are always fully functional and secure. They continually challenge themselves and look for ways of improving their operations and those of the Company. 

Your main tasks will be:   

• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission-critical computer resources 
• Develop procedures to maintain security and protect the systems 
• Develop procedures, programs, and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications 
• Develop and maintain adequate system monitoring  
• Be responsible for resolving escalated service issues 
• Provide technical services and support for the following areas: Internal systems, cloud, network, virtualization, remote monitoring and alert management 
• Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system 
• Keeps systems updated with the proper updates
